British Furniture Association (BFA) is bringing together two service providers to ensure its members have a comprehensive all-round health and safety package.
Building on its strategic partnership with Didac, announced last April, BFA has joined with Rochdale Occupational Health Service (ROHS), expanding its offer into first aid training, absence management and health surveillance programs.
Established in 1963, ROHS provides a range of occupational health services designed to reduce sickness absence and create a healthier, more productive working environment.
Helen Yates is General Manager at ROHS. She said: “ROHS Ltd is thrilled to partner with the BFA to enhance health and wellbeing across the industry.
“This collaboration reinforces our shared commitment to creating safer, healthier workplaces where employees can thrive.
“By combining our expertise in occupational health with the association’s dedication to industry excellence, we aim to support businesses in reducing workplace risks, improving employee wellbeing, and fostering a culture of health and safety.
“Together, we can ensure a stronger, more resilient workforce for the future."
The services provided by ROHS will supplement the ‘first response’ support provided by Didac, which specialises in training and health and safety in the woodworking, furniture and warehousing sectors, and offers a free ‘triage’ helpline with guidance and support in the event of an accident of HSE intervention.
BFA MD Phil Spademan said: “By collaborating with these two respected service providers, we are ensuring our members can access expert advice and support on a wide range of health and safety issues.
“Didac has specialist knowledge of our industry and can offer emergency support when needed, while ROHS provide all the training and information required to help businesses embed good health and safety practices that create a healthier working environmental for all.”
Detailed information about the services offered by ROHS is available to BFA members via the website portal.
