The Bowl Chair Company was founded by Penny and William Dowley in 2024 to recreate a chair designed and sold by Penny’s father in the 1960’s.

The classic 1960’s design has been given a new lease of life for a new generation.

A Bowl Chair consists of a hemisphere made from fibreglass which is upholstered to form a bowl-shaped seat. This then sits on a wooden ring. The chair can be tilted on the ring from horizontal to near vertical to allow lots of different sitting positions making it extremely comfortable.

We are very proud that all the different elements of the chair are made to a very high standard in Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
