Our history

1927 - A timber product trading company, was first established by Mr Albert Plaut who began importing veneers and other timber materials.

1988 - The current chairman, Eddie Lindenberg conducted a management buyout of the agency company and renamed it as ‘Albert Plaut Wood Agencies Limited’.

1998 - From these foundations the company further developed into Plaut International Limited. With further range expansions being introduced at that time.

2011 - With further range expansions being introduced at that time; John Yates was appointed managing director and is continuing the further development of the company.

Present - We are currently sourcing products from around 50+ countries world wide, enjoying relationships with various trading partners for more than four decades.
