We are a long–established timber furniture frame manufacturer, predominantly supplying upholstery companies throughout the country with their individual models and requirements.
We aim at the middle and top end of the quality furniture market, and in conjunction with our upholstery customers, we supply frames for some of the UK's largest and finest hotel and leisure groups and have repeat business with many prestigious retailers including: the John Lewis Partnership, Heals and Conran.
A family–owned business, founded in 1970, our company began manufacturing chair and sofa frames solely for the domestic upholstered lounge furniture market.
Over the last 25 years we have invested in new machinery, enabling us to widen our product range to include show–wood frames, and allowing us to supply a far wider area of the industry: healthcare, office, leisure, hotels and restaurants. Specialising in the production of batches of frames with in–house design and prototyping, the company has honed its capacity and efficiency. We will create as few as ten pieces or produce many hundreds of frames to a tight deadline. We also design and manufacture specialised timber components for other industries.
Our frames are produced using solid hardwoods in the traditional doweled construction method, or, according to client brief, we will incorporate panel products, often birch plywood, to achieve very high quality but more versatile and affordable frames. Our photo gallery on our products page shows a small range of our capabilities.
Situated five miles south-west of Reading, on a three quarter acre site with an 8000 sq ft factory plus extensive storage areas for timber and completed products, we are well–placed for major routes, both for our own distributing of goods and for receiving our deliveries of timber, sourced from both British and European managed forests.
Our ability to develop designs directly with our clients, through prototyping and into production in a very short timescale, offers a huge advantage over furniture importers. We believe this currently is one of our greatest strengths, supported by our consistent high quality and extensive knowledge of the industry gained from more than four decades of frame making.
